North Idaho Birth & Baby Fair Vendor Application

The Birth Place and Spokane Birth Resources co-hosts the North Idaho Birth & Baby Fair each year at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in their Jacklin Seed Building. We pack the 16,000 square foot building with as many local businesses and 501c3 organizations as possible to provide an incredible event for our community. 

We do limit the number of specific businesses in order to provide a wide range of resources to our attendees, this is why the application process is important to us. In years past, we have accepted any and all vendor applications, however this year, businesses will need to submit their application and wait to hear back from us if their application has been accepted.

It may take us up to a week to respond to your application for a vendor space, please be patient with us, we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

Once your application has been accepted, we ask you to pay your vendor fee within one week of your acceptance email. If we do not receive payment in a timely manner, we will remove you from our vendor list. 

After your payment has been received, we will send you a detailed email with all of the important vendor information you'll need. This includes information about your booth space, set up details, and Fair Day instructions.

 

There is NO sharing booth spaces between businesses. We use this as a general rule every year.  Sharing booth spaces can confuse attendees as to which business they are interacting with. We also want to honor the investment that every other business has made by committing their day to attending this event.  One business entity per booth space is allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

Basic Booth Space - $175 Investment

this includes an 8x10 booth space with pipe, drape and black hanging linens. A large table and chair is also included. 

Electricity is an additional $25 per booth space, as we pay the Fairgrounds per wattage used on the day of the event.  Please make sure you pay the electricity fee along with your booth fee.  We organize booth spaces on the fair map based on who needs electricity because we utilize the fairgrounds crew to drop cords down from the ceiling. Last minute requests for electricity can be extremely difficult to fulfill. Please remember this when filling out your application.

Vendor fees are non-refundable. 

We pay for building fees, equipment rental, sound equipment, event insurance and a number of other expenses in the 6 months leading up to the day of the event.  We cannot refund you if you decide you cannot come to the event, unfortunately. This is a costly event to provide for our community.  We thank you for your understanding. 

Sponsorship Opportunities:

We love providing local businesses with the opportunity to reach their target market directly!  By investing in a sponsorship opportunity, you can gain access to extra event perks!

Birth & Baby Fair Education Corner (Formerly Main Stage) $400

Instead of a stage, we will have an Education & Resource Hub for presentations and community education throughout Fair day! This sponsorship helps us pay for the extra sound equipment needed as well as chair rental and the Presentation Schedule Sign. This includes:

-  a "commercial" over the building speakers promoting your sponsorship during fair day

- putting your marketing materials in the attendee bags.

- your logo above the Education Corner & on Event banner at the entrance.

Attendee Bags $500 -

Sponsor will have the opportunity to put their logo on all attendee bags. Everyone that walks through the Fair will see your logo and take it home with them. You may also opt to put marketing materials inside the bags.

Insurance Sponsor $500 - SPOT FILLED

Event Insurance has almost tripled over the last 5 years! Help us cover the cost by being our Insurance Sponsor! This opportunity allows you to:

- add promotional materials to all attendee bags

- have your logo on the entrance signs

- have a "commercial" over the Fair loudspeaker during the day

- social media marketing on the Baby Fair Event Page

- includes the cost of a basic 8x10 booth space

Coloring Corner & Kids Activities $300 -

This sponsor helps us pay for the bounce house, CYT performance and coloring corner supplies! Your logo will appear on signs in the coloring corner. Before the CYT Princess & Prince performance, a "commercial" for your company will be announced over the main loudspeaker.

General Event Sponsor $400 -

- double the booth space (10x20ft)! (Some event sponsors may request to have the smaller size space, just let me know what you prefer!)

- Extra tables & chairs

- electricity for your booth included

- marketing materials from your business in the attendee bags

- your logo on the entrance banner

- "commercial" aired on the main building speaker throughout the day.

Vendor Breakfast Sponsor $300

If you cannot attend the fair with your own booth space but want to be a part of this amazing event, the Vendor Breakfast Sponsorship may be perfect for you!  We offer vendors a breakfast and snack bar each year, providing a time of networking for businesses to gather and get to know each other.  This is one of the funnest aspects for vendors!  As the breakfast sponsor, your business marketing materials will be placed in the vendor breakfast area, and we will air a "commercial" for your business during fair day!

Why do most of the sponsorship opportunities not include booth space? 

These vendor events are quite expensive.

I utilize sponsors for different aspects of the Fair that cost the most. Each sponsorship covers different areas of the Fair and the costs associated with those areas.  Some businesses may wish to participate in "Name Only". Providing sponsorship for an area but not wanting to commit their whole day to being physically AT the Fair as a vendor. This is why we split these sponsor costs out of booth spaces. If you wish to sponsor an area and ALSO be a vendor with space at the Fair, I would be happy to work with you and provide a booth discount! It's never been my goal to make a huge monetary gain from these events, but to provide an educational and resource filled day of fun for our Birth & Baby Community here in North Idaho. I just need to pull in enough funds to pay for the demands of the event, without coming out of my own family's personal budget. Please contact me with any questions or concerns! All proceeds from the event that go above and beyond our operating costs for the event will be donated to The Birth Place!
